Our Founder

“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.”

A visionary and a great human being, Shri Ram Panjwani was born on 22nd October 1929 in an upper middle class Sindhi family in Sukkur, a city situated on the west bank of Indus River in Pakistan. Soon after, his father Shri Seth Bal Chand migrated to Haridwar, India to set up a family business.

Mr. Ram Panjwani’s student life started at a local primary school called ‘Tatwala School’. Later in life, due to pressing circumstances, he was compelled to discontinue his graduation studies and assist his father in propelling the family business of timber trade. Mr. Panjwani’s ceaseless hard work and labour bore fruit, and within 10 years, Panjwani & Co. became known as the leading forest lessee in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.

Late Shri Ram Panjwani

During this time, he came into contact with Shree Shree Maa Anandmayee and was inspired by her philosophy of the world. He went on to become a very close and prominent devotee of Maa. It is this profound association that inspired him to establish Maa Anandmayee Memorial School at this remote location, where Maa often retired during her days of ‘maun’.

Mr. Panjwani left for his heavenly abode on April 24th, leaving behind a rich harvest of memories and values to cherish, honour, and emulate.

Time Passes, Memories Stay and in the end our deeds protect us from oblivion’s curse!
